This solvent based acrylic primer effectively etches with the existing bitumen system creating a strong physical bond. The cured primed surface promotes adhesion of acrylic decorative coatings. The complete system is especially effective when lighter colour (cream and pastel) top coats are used.

Avoid using Bitucryl Primer on bitumen systems and bituminous aluminium coatings that are less than 3 months old.
Being solvent based, if Bitucryl primer is over applied onto any bitumen surface, the solvent will soften the bitumen compound.
A light coat of Bitucryl Primer is all that is required.
When applying Bitucryl Primer use minimal pressure on each brush stroke. A heavy handed brush stroke can soften bitumen surfaces.
