Poor pump performance

I bought this VSD pump to replace my 4 year old Leo MAC-550 VSD pump that recently died after performing incredibly well. I expected this pump to at least deliver a similar volume of water at the same pressure setting as the old pump this pump being rated at 650w vs the old Leo at only 550w, out of the box this was not to be as it isn't even capable of reaching the set pressure of 3.5 bar that I've always had the old pump set at. Although this pump is supposed to be able to reach 4.5 bar it is actually not capable of running at 3.0 bar as it just runs continuously at 2.8-2.9 bar and does not switch off making it more useless than a cheap 0.37kw single stage pump with an old fashioned on off pressure switch. I am deeply dissapointed and will probably return it as it does not do what it should or what I bought it to do.
