The element which is in direct contact with the water, heats the water to the set temperature on the thermostat.
Types: a. Standard nickel-plated or non-plated element with a copper sheath for use in areas with “soft” water. b. Element with a nickel-chrome alloy or “incalloy” sheath for use in corrosive water areas.
